About our Upper School

The upper school solidifies the core foundation laid by the Lower school. As a transition stage to the Junior High, the subjects are carefully handled to prepare pupils for easy acceptance at the Junior High level.

The Upper Primary Department is made up of pupils between the ages of 9 and 11 years.

The primary aim of the department is to produce smart and well-trained learners for the Junior High school department. To achieve this, there is a shared responsibility and coordination among the teaching staff for the efficient functioning of the department.

The structures put in place are not the end but to bring the members together and demarcate their functions.

Upper Primary department is structured into three (3) streams with each stream having its own head steering affairs and relaying information to the head of department.

The under listed subjects are taught by seasoned and renowned tutors in the department. Other subjects that are taught in the department include Physical Education, Religious and Moral Education, Literacy, Numeracy, History of Ghana, Ghanaian Language (Asante Twi option), French, Computing and Our World Our People.

Computing: Upper Primary department has a spacious and a well-organized computer laboratory for all practical lessons. Each learner has his/her personal laptop for effective teaching and learning.

Science: Our science laboratory is equipped with the state of the art ultra-modern equipment for practical lessons. Children have the one on one manipulation and usage of apparatus and practical involvement in practical lessons in the laboratory.

Academic intervention: The department has a remedial programme organized purposely for learners with peculiar academic challenges to help bring them to the same level of the very smart learners.

At the upper primary department, teachers have all the patience to listen to their pupils and make sure that most of their problems are resolved and their needs met.

We will always recommend for people or parents to enroll their wards in the department because we have all the expertise and skills needed to train learners to compete with other learners globally.
